Opportunity knocks? For the month of January, the total dollar volume of sales is down in both centers, but much more so in the Comox Valley. The statistics also indicate that the number of listings are down. Our research suggests that this trend may be reversed next month. It is far too early to insist on a downward trajectory, however a softer market could present investment opportunities. Recently, the equity markets have demonstrated significant volatility. Holding income producing investment property could balance a retirement portfolio and reduce volatility at the same time.
