The time has never been better for First Nations communities to recognize economic opportunities. In many cases, these opportunities are tied directly to the land. Kutyn First is designed to help make these opportunities a reality!
Chris Kutyn and Glenn Carey bring years of expereince as land economists and project managers. Our goal is to offer practical solutions now which will have a long lasting impact into the future. We understand economic development. Chris has worked to provide small industrial parks in rural areas, and on behalf of VIHA was part of a team to identify a site for the new general hospital. Glenn was instrumental on planning issues to allow the development of the Woodgrove Centre in Nanaimo. On the Sage Hills project he was involved in the site identification and acquisition, and he negotiated succesfully for interchange access.
Kutyn First can help prepare land use plans. Once a vision and a plan have been agreed upon, we can also help to identify other suitable consultants such as surveyors, biologists and engineers to assist in the development process. We hope our input will be a valuable part of the process to provide better economic opportunities, quality of life and housing!
We want to promote First Nations opportunities, and the advantages of doing business with the bands on Vancouver Island. This is not an academic exercise to produce consultants reports...our strong desire is to produce results!
